The current way of delivering medical care in this country is ineffective, demoralizing and costly. More time needs to be spent figuring out how to prevent a disease rather than how to catch in disease in an earlier stage.

About Dr. Lawson

Dr. Lawson is a physician who practices Functional Medicine at her clinic in Winchester, VA. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She was certified in functional medicine in April of 2017 by the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr. Lawson believes in a "whole person/whole systems" approach to managing chronic illness and preventing disease. Dr. Lawson loves learning and is always continuing her medical education. She believes patients need to be educated about their conditions and have a good understanding of not only their treatment plans, but also the reason behind the treatment plan. 20-30 minute office visits and monthly lectures are some of the ways this is accomplished at Mission Functional Medicine.

Dr. Lawson spends her time outside of work with her husband, two children, dogs and her horse. Dr. Lawson is passionate about protecting the environment. She believes that protecting the environment is critical in protecting our health.

Protect the environment, protect your health.
I use evidenced based functional medicine, alternative medicine and family medicine to optimize your health and prevent disease.
— Dr Lawson

Dr. Lawson is dedicated to identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic and acute illness.
